New Features in WeldTrace - March 2023

API 1104 is now fully supported in WeldTrace for creating welding procedures by these methods:
  • with filler metal addition (section 5)
  • repairs (section 10)
  • mechanized (section 12) and
  • in-service (appendix B).

API 1104 welder qualifications are also fully supported in WeldTrace for these methods:
  • welder - both single and multiple qualifications (section 6)
  • welding operator (section 12)
  • repair welder (section 10) and
  • in-service welder (appendix B).

With the addition of API 1104, WeldTrace now fully supports code-compliant workflows for writing welding procedures, procedure qualification records, welder and welding operator qualifications for these standards:
  • ASME IX (WPS, PQR, WPQ/WQTR)
  • AWS D1.1 (WPS, PQR, WPQ/WQTR)
  • ISO 15614-1 (WPS, PQR)
  • ISO 9606-1 (WPQ)
  • API 1104 (WPS, PQR, WPQ/WQTR).
It only costs $5 for creating a code-compliant welding procedure or welder qualification. There are no charges for creating preliminary WPS or for adding your own welding procedures or welder qualifications. Please contact us if you would like to know more.
