Add a document

You may add a new document or edit a document that has already been added to a project by following these steps:

Document Number

The document number together with the revision/version number will be considered as unique. If the document number has already been used, a warning will be provided. If the revision number is changed to an unused number, the warning will go away and the entry will be treated as a new revision or version of the document that already exists in the system. 
Mandatory field;
Number of characters permitted: Minimum: 1; Maximum: 25; The only special characters allowed are / -()#., A space is considered to be a special character.

Document Title

The title of the document. 
Number of characters permitted: Minimum: 1; Maximum: 50

Date

Date of the document.
Mandatory field

Document Type

You may select the document type from one of the options listed

Revision Number

A revision or version number must be added when you add a document. Each revision is maintained as a separate document. WeldTrace uses 0 to 20 for numbers and A to Z for letters as revision numbers.

Upload a File

A document file can be uploaded. Save and Cancel buttons will be disabled during the file upload process;
Only a PDF file can be uploaded. File size restrictions apply based on your plan

Include in Data Book?

This field will be shown if you upload a PDF file. If you select 'yes' and when the 'Documents' section is included in the Data Book configuration, this file will be stitched to the Data Book when you generate it
