Common Materials

Library - common materials
  1. This is the common area for the materials that may be used across projects. Here you can add and maintain the heat numbers, mill test certificates and dimensions of the materials that would be available for use in all the projects;
  2. The heat numbers added here may be used in any project, in addition to the materials that are added to those projects.

Use them across projects

Common materials in a project
  1. The heat number of the material in the common library area will be shown with a different colour. These will appear after the list of project materials and in alphabetical order;
  2. The heat numbers of the project materials will be shown in normal colour;

For all the other functions, such as add, edit, import and export, please refer the knowledge base article on project materialsThe functions are identical except that for the common materials in the library you need to select the units - Metric or US Customary.
