This knowledge base article is about deleting a user and restoring a deleted user to active status.
If you need to delete a user from an account, for example when the user has left employment, open the user and the delete button will appear if your role will allow a user to be deleted. A deleted user will be removed from the list of users, but not actually deleted. WeldTrace will deny access to deleted users the same way as it does for a user with the status marked as "inactive."

When you delete a user, a warning will be displayed about the projects the user had some role in. You may need to reallocate the role to a different user in those projects.
If you need to restore a deleted user to the "active" status, please follow the procedure described here:
- Click on the “Deleted Users” button in the Users menu;
- If your account has reached the limit of number of users, then a warning message will be shown and the ‘Restore’ button will be disabled;
- Select the user with the check box;
- Click on the ‘Restore’ button. The user will be restored to active status and will be able to login
