Instant Messaging

You can exchange instant messages with other project users from within the weld details page. Instant messaging is available only for the users of the Pro plan.

1. You will see the most recent message in this area in the weld details page. Click on the "Instant Messages" button to view all the messages;
   

How to send instant messages

1. The messages that you receive from other users will be shown here with the name of the sender and the date and time the message was sent;
   
2. The notifications bell icon will show the number of unread messages;
   
3. To send an instant message to another project user type @ followed by a few characters of the user's name. Matching results will be displayed. Select the user and type the message. You may send a message to more than one user at a time;
   
4. Click here to send the message;

View instant messages

1. The messages that you receive from other users will be shown here with the name of the sender and the date and time the message was sent;
   
2. The messages that you send to other users will be shown on the right hand side;

Instant messages in the dashboard

1. You will see the instant messages that are sent to you in the notifications area of the dashboard;
   
2. The message will be displayed along with the name of the user who sent the message;
   

Number of messages in the welds list page

1. You will see the instant messages icon in the info column of the welds list page with the number of messages exchanged for that weld;
