Login for Welders

If your account is in the "Pro" plan, you can give access to WeldTrace for any of your welders. Welders who are given login access will be able to use the WeldTrace mobile app and claim welds or update the weld data in the field.

Edit Welder's Details

Login for welders
Select a welder and click edit. 
  1. Check the "Allow login?" box (if your account is in the Lite or Plus plans, you will not see this row);
  2. Enter a password and confirm the password;
  3. By selecting this button, you can get an email sent automatically to the welder with their login details. Please see below for an example. You must have an email address entered for the welder;
  4. The status button is to determine if the welder should be available for use in any of the projects. This button is not to prevent a welder's login access;
  5. Click this button to save the changes;

Welders List

The info column in the welders list page will show the status of the welder.

  1. The tick icon in the info column will show the status of the welder. A blue tick mark means that the welder is active and available for use in projects. A red cross means that the welder is not active and will not be available for use in projects;
  2. If you see the welder icon with a blue border, it means that the welder has login access. The welder icon with a red border means that the welder's login access has been revoked. Please continue to read this article to find out how to change a welder's login access;

Welder's Details

You can find the status of the welder (active or inactive) and their login access status from their detail page.

  1. If you see the text "User" with a green background, it means that the welder has login access. The text with a red background means the welder's login access has been revoked. Please continue to read this article to find out how to change a welder's login access; 
  2. A green dot here means that the welder is active and available for use in projects. A red dot here means that the welder is not active and will not be available for use in projects;

Once a welder has been given login access, you must visit the Users menu to manage the welder's login access, password and role. Please read below.

  1. Welders who are given login access will be added to the main users list. You will see the role "Welder" here; 
  2. The label "Active" in green means that this welder has login access. If you revoke the login access, this label will read "Inactive" in red;

  1. You may change the password for a welder; 
  2. A welder's role can be changed to a regular User or Account Administrator;
  3. If you uncheck this box, the welder's login access will be revoked;
  4. Click here to delete the welder as a user. The welder's records or the records they left will not be removed. You may restore a deleted welder to current active status later;
  5. Click here to update the changes;
  6. You may click here to update the photograph of a welder;
